Lil is a caring, gentle, introspective practitioner who works to heal the whole person and not just the symptoms. You will find that her passionate approach creates a comfortable and soothing healing environment.
I have been getting acupuncture by Lil for about 4 years now for IBS. I cannot express in words the difference she has made in my life. I went from having very bad IBS and pain in my stomach every day, to barely any symptoms at all. Prior to trying acupuncture I had been to gastroenterologists and was prescribed muscle relaxers, I was taking them every day and they did not help with the symptoms, they only blocked the pain. I started seeing Lil and after my first treatment I could feel a noticeable improvement, I still see her regularly every 4-6 weeks for maintenance and any other aches and pains I may be having.
Earlier this year I had a miscarriage and started seeing Lil for fertility issues. I'm happy to report that I'm 6 and half weeks pregnant and everything is going well with this pregnancy. Lil helped keep me calm about getting pregnant again and helped my body get ready for pregnancy.
I have recommended friends and family to Lil over the years and will continue to do so. She is a wonderful acupuncturist and a caring provider.”

I have no idea where to turn. I can't imagine that anything will help or even begin to make a difference.
You want me to try what?
Are you serious? You want me to have a bunch of needles put all over my body in order to help me get pregnant, really? You must be kidding!?! I have heard that this type of Eastern Medicine works for some people, and on some aliments, but it probably won't work for me! I have spent over 17 months trying to conceive. There isn't much hope.
That was my attitude when I was referred to Lil Bush for acupuncture after being sent out of general OB/GYN's office to a fertility specialist. Months and months went by and try after try our doctor was unsuccessful at assisting me and my partner conceive. I had tried just about everything, pills, shots, meditation, etc… and still, no baby.
I was told that acupuncture would help me relax, a key component in conceiving a baby through any method, but especially through artificial insemination or in vitro fertilization. The practice of acupuncture would also help the blood flow to my uterus so that when I did conceive, the embryo would have a better chance of implantation.
At this point I was willing to try anything!
My first few appointments with Lil were very comfortable. Her office was inviting, quiet and peaceful; she made me feel at ease. I didn't notice too much of a difference in how I was feeling until after a few weeks. I noticed that I wasn't on edge as much. That I was more content with the process of trying to have a baby (and that's saying a lot based on how badly we wanted a child).
I continued to see Lil throughout the process of IVF and each week she would tailor my treatment to support the steps I was taking. Soon it was time for the embryo transfer. I was, oddly, at peace.
Lil went above and beyond that of any “traditional” medical provider! She met us at her office at 6:30 in the morning so that I could have a treatment prior to our transfer. Then, to my surprise, she offered to come to my home and give me another treatment after the embryo transfer. Both of these sessions are recommended with IVF procedures.
Ten days later we returned to our IVF office for a blood test. Low and behold, pregnant—with TWINS!
We think of Lil as the glue that held our hopes for a family and the miracles of modern medicine together with her special touch and extensive knowledge of this amazingly powerful practice of acupuncture.”

A friend recommended that I see Lil for acupuncture treatment and it was one of the best things I did for myself during my chemo and radiation treatments. Because of her training at Sloan Kettering, Lil is aware of the side effects of cancer drugs. She knows how to deal with the symptoms and address all-over body wellness and relaxation. There were weeks when her acupuncture treatments were the thing that kept me going. I highly recommend incorporating acupuncture into cancer treatment regimes from the beginning.”

Cancer treatment can leave you drained physically and emotionally. After going through all the treatments, it takes a huge toll on your body. Even after the treatments there is additional and prolonged drug treatment that brings its own side effects. I was exhausted and experienced frequent hot flashes as well as muscle and leg pain. I started acupuncture treatments with Lil to restore my energy and help me deal with the side effects. It did a lot more than that. Acupuncture has helped me regain my energy, but it has also given me a better quality of life!”

I experienced allergies and allergy induced asthma for years. Every time I rode my bike, or hiked outside, my nose would run and I would sneeze. I had trouble around dogs and cats and would wheeze and have trouble breathing. I was constantly using my asthma inhaler and taking every type of prescription, and over the counter, allergy medicine to try to get a handle on it. On top of all the allergy issues, I am a teacher, so I was always getting sick from the germs I faced daily at work.
Since seeing Lil for acupuncture treatments everything has changed. She tested me for allergies and cleared me of all the tree, weed, and pollen issues I had so I can enjoy being outdoors. I have had to use my asthma inhaler once in the past year, and I have not taken any allergy medicine. Acupuncture work has strengthened my immune system and my body has been able to stay healthy even when my students are coughing and sneezing all around me. My husband and I even have a puppy now and I haven't had any problems. I was skeptical about acupuncture when I first decided to try it, but I am a believer now. The acupuncture work Lil has done has made a huge difference in my quality of life, and I feel better and have more energy for the things I love to do.”

Lil was referred to us by a friend. Our 7 year old Son has a moderate motor tic disorder and general stress/anxiety associated with the condition. I have suffered from migraine headaches since I was a teenager. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Lil's treatment has been for our family. Since seeing Lil, our Son's performance in school has improved, his tics are far more manageable; sometimes even non-existent, he is sleeping better and his general attitude toward life is better. Traditionally stressful times like starting school, going to the emergency room for stitches, losing a pet or even dealing with his tics seem normal. I have had tremendous success with my migraine treatment. Lil's approach is to fix the problem, not just mask the symptoms with drugs, which I have done for years. She truly cares about her patients and has wonderful follow up. Additionally, she is GREAT with kids.
I would highly recommend her for kids or adults. In fact, I have—several times already!”
